Birdies for the Brave. Since inception, our Foundation has donated $3,149,000 to Birdies for the Brave (the PGA Tour’s military outreach program). These donations are then passed onto individual charities that work with both the Birdies for Brave and the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes and have agreed to target our donations to Wounded Heroes located in, or have a connection with, the South Carolina and Georgia Lowcountry area. We partner with Birdies for the Brave (B4B) for several reasons:
On August of 2026, we donated an additional $450,000 (reflected in the amount above). This was the largest donation Birdies for the Brave has ever received. LFWMH directed Birdies for the Brave to allocate this year's donation to specific charities and their programs as documented below.
K9s For Warriors. Determined to end Veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs — many of them rescues — to military Veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma, at no financial cost to the Veteran.
K9s For Warriors is proud to work with the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes to provide life-changing Service Dogs for Veterans in need. Their generosity helps us reach more Warriors and continue to save lives at both ends of the leash.
